BIOGRAPHY
Susan is a classically trained Spinto Soprano who has
studied voice under scholarship in both Australia & Italy.
Inheriting a passion for the Visual & Performing Arts her artistic
practise encompasses & combines several creative arenas as
Musician, Composer, Actor, Fine Artist & Experimental Filmmaker.
She has successfully completed:
Bachelor of Performing Arts
(Vocal Scholarship) MONASH
Associate of Music Classical Voice (Distinction) AMEB
Bachelor of Fine Arts
Drawing Major (Distinction) RMIT
Master of Arts
Animation & Interactive Media RMIT
In 2012 she was awarded:
The Nino Sanciolo Prize
Italian Language and Vocal Studies in Italy with Maestri
Tenor Salvatore Frisicella
& Conductor Gaetano Colajanni.
Susan has performed in many opera productions, title roles in
bi-lingual (German and Italian) theatre in education seasons,
locally & abroad in concerts, recitals & private functions.
Highlights include a solo recital at The Italian Cultural Institute,
performing for The Starlight Foundation, A Cancer Therapy
Production & SBS Documentary for More than Opera, &
performing as a soloist at Federation Square for Citi Opera.
Susan has acted, presented & created voice-overs in a
variety of short & feature films, commercials, concerts, music
video clips & radio campaigns that have aired on Australian
television & radio, international cinemas & film festivals.
Her music compositions & experimental films have received
Victorian Arts funding, been ATOM awards finalists thrice,
& have been performed live & screened in galleries, music
& media festivals along the East Coast of Australia.
